Close enough for now

The following tracks are available on our demo CD "Close Enough for now". It was recorded in April 2003 at Broadwood Studios in Newington, Kent and was recorded to reflect a "live" sound with a minumum number of overdubs.

Keyboards, bass and drums were recorded together "live" with no drop-ins, along with a guide vocal and guitar line. 'H' then added guitar in one take for each song. Guitar harmonies and effects were played live via his Roland effects pedal board. Lead vocals were then each recorded in one take and any backing vocals were done as a group rather than separately.

The only additions to be made later were the string backing (from the keyboard) on "Still Got the Blues" and "Evil Woman", and additional keyboard sounds on "Reeling in the Years". (Keyboards on these tracks were played by our former keyboardist Jim Hawkins.)

For the purposes of this site the mp3 clips have been reduced to mono tracks to speed up the download process. Lo-Bandwidth versions are also available for those with slow internet connections.
